So here it is Merry Christmas

Hello there, long time no see or speak!

I just wanted to write a really short snappy post to emphasise how sorry i am that its been around 3 weeks or so since i last posted, i know everyone gives these excuses but i have actually been SO busy with christmas shopping, school and starting a new job and all! I started working in Tesco's on Monday and the christmas buzz has completely drained me, yesterday i worked 4pm til 10pm and then started again at 7 this morning until 4 and it was super busy the whole time i was working!

I know christmas is just around the corner and i just wanna say a HUGE Merry Christmas and i hope you all have fantastic days and spend it with the ones you love and care about most as it is a time for family's and friends to get together and share the love and appreciation of one an other. I was really excited about christmas from the 1st of September and since Ive started work that excitement truly has died out, but i have christmas eve off and I'm hoping that will make me happy again!

Thank you to each and everyone one of my followers that have joined demiDOODLES since earlier this year, i cant believe 70 of you have taken the time to read or follow my blog, it really does make me so happy and i am so grateful, which is why I'm hoping 2013 will be full of giveaways and lots more beauty and fashion posts and also getting to know you guys and a lot more people in the future. My blog is my favourite thing and i love it so much, so having people to share it with is just lovely!

Once again, enjoy your christmas' and i hope you get everything you want and deserve and i will speak to you very soon!

LOTS OF LOVE!

OOTD: a bowler hat

Hey there partnerrrrs (I'm not sure why i just said that, maybe its because I'm a cowboy in disguise...)

I hope you are all as fab as can be on this wet evening! So yesterday was my schools presentation/awards evening and i got invited to pick up my official GCSE CERTIFICATES, so off i tottered with my mum and got them. I didn't know i was going therefore i didn't know the dress code so i guessed a smart casual would do just fine and so i thought i would show you what i wore

This is my first outfit of the day post therefore my posing is pretty awful so please forgive me, also the picture quality and cropping out of feet and legs is really bad but that's my mums fault hehe!

Hat-Camden market: £20
Coat- Bon Marche (was given so not sure how much)
Blouse- Also given so not sure where from sorry!
Under control leggings- Primark: £4
Ankle boots- Primark- £14

I also learnt to do fish plaits not so long ago so i decided to use a curling wand to create some loose curls and do a small fishy plait on one side-just to be different

Nailing it this christmas!

Okay so on a happier note from my previous post about shyness and confidence (read here) i decided to show you some of the nail art i have been doing on false nails lately..

A snowflake, a snowman, christmas lights, a penguin, holly and a christmas tree! (i added a snowing effect to this picture to make it more christmassy because in case you don't know.. its 34 days and counting!!)

Here are my own nails, red and multi-coloured glitter with a super cute reindeer on the ring finger!

recently, i have also been doing friends nails to earn a little extra christmas money and I've also been learning/experimenting with acrylics/gel nails. I first tried it out on my friend, then my own and then another friend, it takes me aaaages to do them because of the amount of time they take to dry but the finished results were lush with the bright red nails and gemmed ring finger!

If you would like any tutorials or nail polish colour names etc just leave a comment, tweet me or whatever and I'll happily inform you

Have you been trying out any christmas nails, or any other designs for that matter? i would love to see some!!

Confidence vs shyness..

Today's post is something i have wanted to share with you guys for quite a while, something i have found interesting to think about and work on so I'm hoping you are fascinated too..

Shyness- Throughout my whole life my primary school teachers always told me i was too shy and too quiet, through the first years of secondary schools at parents evening every teacher repeated the exact same things as I'd heard from my previous teachers. Although they told me my behaviour was good, i was polite and well mannered the phrase 'a little angel to teach' wasn't true-they wanted me to change, come out of my shell and have an input in class. At the time, that just wasn't me. I was the shy one who would never call out, always do as i was told even if it was a time to stand up for myself. No one ever really noticed me and i felt as if i blended in with the walls or something. Until around 2 years ago i was still that same girl until i realised that i had been hiding away from anything and everything and i thought it was time for a change. I grew up, stood up tall with my head high and as a start i would make an effort to make new friends, answer things in class (only if i knew the answer 100% though!) and just have a different view point on life. As time went by i was confident enough to just have fun in life, as that is what its about-to just enjoy it whilst it lasts. Shyness can be the factor that enables everything to knock you down no matter how hard you try and it can make you unhappy and feel left out of any situation by over thinking and feeling lonely.

Confidence- Confidence is something that can help someone make friends and do things that aren't necessarily within their comfort zones. In the past year a LOT has happened to me, my family, people living local to me etc, enough stuff to make me crawl back into that shell of mine and never speak a word again, it has been the toughest time of my life and everything seems to have took a turn for the worst, just a few examples are; a house fire (kitchen, conservatory, hallway, landing and front room damaged- ALL BECAUSE OF A CHIP PAN-Cupboard doors were burnt, the light fell down, the fridge melted and so much more (even if you are young, check your fire alarms work!))

Picture 1-Snap of the burnt kitchen, 2-mum and dad last year June, 3-R.I.P Tasha xxxx
My beautiful baby girl was put to sleep 2-3 months ago due to old age, her back legs giving up on her and losing control of her bowels, it was hard to watch her go but even harder to watch her suffer (rip Tasha!), the split of my parents this year after 27 years of marriage has been extremely hard, and so much more believe me. But minus the negatives that could, would and should have caused me to stop being the new me, i picked myself up and moved on by thinking of the positives of the year such as; my 16th birthday, prom, completing my GCSE's and getting good grades, starting sixth form, saying yes to more i wouldn't usually say yes too, keeping my head up and concentrating on making myself happy.

Prom, starting my blog, 16th birthday cake, end of school!

So what I'm trying to say (in a long essay kind of way) is that if you are like the way i used to be, think about how its going to effect you in the future with school, uni, work etc as confidence is a big thing in life that can can make you strong enough to face almost anything or knock you down and prevent you from doing so many things. You are what you make of yourself and life is also what you make it so live life to the fullest, laugh as much as you can, take risks and never EVER regret things that have once made you happy!

I hope you have all had an amazing year and none of you have had to go through what i have.

Love from Demi xxxxx

GOLD! Always believe in your soul..

Yesterday i took another little trip into town (seems to be becoming a very regular occurrence lately!) and the idea was to get a few more christmas bits, I'm doing chrimbo shopping in sections and picking up little bits here and there this year, and i actually managed to pick my mum up some of the things she wanted but once again i ended up buying myself a few nick nacks and i decided to show you something that I'm really happy with..

It's very similar to my technic 'mermaid' and 'carnival' nail varnish but its from poundland!? There were blue, green and purple versions of this polish but the gold stood out for me and I'm so glad i bought it, i must admit i spent about 20 minutes in poundland uming and ahing, debating whether to buy it and as soon as i got home i painted it on top of my primark bright pink polish and its so lush. It doesn't have different types of gold in it but its got small and big rounded glitter flecks in it and its a really good rep for some high priced brand versions of glitter polishes! £1 BARGAIN!!

Another thing i picked up from poundland was this little wheel of butterfly and dragonfly nail decorations of all different colours, they are so pretty and i cant wait to use them..

They even come with a mini nail file and wooden stick for easier application! I say get yourself to poundland and see what you can find, i even noticed they sell Revlon polishes in there too!

my christmas wishlist..

I cant believe christmas is just around the corner, its only about 47 days or something and if you tell me that doesn't excite you I'm sorry but you must be mad!

I get excited every year around September/October time even though it gets pretty boring on the actual day (not being ungrateful, just don't have family that come round!) but i love the build up, the cold snuggly weather and turning the christmas music on and getting the tree up and decorated!

Anywaay, i made a little wishlist of a some things i would quite like for christmas..

George (Asda) light pink hooded dressing gown £14; i've already seen this in my mums wardrobe (hehe oops) but i get a new dressing gown every year as i grow out of them so quickly, and this one has a hood!

UV nail lamp; this is to help with my nail art and acrylic nails as they take aaaages to dry on their own!

Make-up Brushes; i don't mind what make these are but i could do with some good quality make up brushes this year

Kate Moss-Lilabelle perfume; I got this for christmas last year and it has just run out but i absolutely LOVE it, it smells so pretty and lush, even if i don't get this for christmas i will definitely re-purchase it in the new year

Jessie J Nice to Meet you; Jessie J is one of my all time favourite singer performers i just think she is so talented and down to earth, my best friend told me she would get me this book for christmas and i cant wait to read it !!

Black Suede Heel-less heels (Sculpted heels); I was going to get some for prom but they were over £30 and with my dress being £300 it was a major no no and i didn't think i'd last in them as they look fairly uncomfortable.. oh how i was wrong. I went into town with my mum at the weekend and we both tried some similar on and they were surprisingly comfy as heels go, no different to any other shoes and less pressure on the heels of your feet

This is my christmas list, what are you hoping for? Also, the book i won by Jenny Colgan arrived 2 days ago and i've started reading it already, thank you Helen from 'fragile bird'. Enjoy your week

Primark pieces..

Okay so as i said not too long ago, i started my christmas shopping but actually bought myself some bits.

Primark is by far my favourite shop, it has everything for such good prices but over the past year or so, their prices have definitely crept their way up for no reason what so ever and i am not a happy bunny. I remember the days when you could buy a pretty knitted jumper for £5, perfect pj sets for no more than £4 and so on and i cant ever seem tot find clothes for less than £8 now and that's just for a simple blouse or plain jumper..

But, rant aside, i love finding cheap beauty bits or jewellery and i get so excited seeing a sale rack with a '£5' sign on it (being the cheapskate i am). I never seem to buy lots of things in one trip to primark, i get bits here and there and although its only 3 things, i thought it would be nice to share with you what i have been enjoying lately from the wonderland itself...

The first thing i bought was this leopard/cheetah print short sleeved blouse from £12 to £5! It has pretty gold button at the front and on the sleeves and black shoulders and its just so pretty.

Next was this 4 pack of nail varnishes which consist of purple, bright pink, mint green and baby blue which were only £2. I tried these on my nails a few weeks back and they lasted so well and only needed 2 coats which isn't at all bad considering they are primark!

And last but not least, when i got to the check out of one of my trips to primark, my mum spotted this product which is Argan Oil. It states that it is a healing shine hair treatment and cost around £2.50. I used it on my hair 2 nights ago; washed my hair, blow dried it and out a small amount through the ends of my hairs (avoiding roots as the instructions say) and then straightened it as i usually would. I must admit, my hair has been feeling really dry and horrible lately but after using this i actually felt a difference, it looks healthier and feels slightly more soft, and im hoping after a few more drops of this my hair will be back to its natural soft self in no time. I would definitely recommend this oil if your hair feels dry or frizzed at the ends from straighteners and blow dryers etc.

Hope you have all had a good week and enjoyed halloween?! Also, have any of you found anything worth browsing for in primark lately? One last thing (i seem to ramble a lot lately, i know) BUT, i won a competition last night thanks to Helen ! A Jenny Colgan book which i cannot wait to read eeek!!

Work first blog second

Hi guys!
Just want to apologise for not posting lately, i've had sooo much work to do and then my internet got cut off! But we got a new package so i should be back to posting on a regular basis. Since i''ve been out of the blogger world i've had so many post ideas and now its to late because they dont fit in with the time etc if that makes any sense at all.

Like i said, i have had so much work to do from school and i am so glad tomorrow is the last day before half term! I have had quite an eventful week or so (to the norm of boring nothing in my day to day life), I started my christmas shopping last week but ended up getting myself a few bits, i also went to the theatre to see 'We will rock you' last night in London and it was aaamazing! I actually can't explain how great it was, it makes me feel good just thinking about it and it left everybody buzzing, would definitely recommend!

Also, my friend is doing a hair & beauty course at A Level and as her assessment/exam/thing she has to style someone to walk down a catwalk in school and guess who's her model.. ME! haha, im not exactly the modelling type (although when i had my tarot cards read, the woman got a feeling that i would go into the modelling industry... fat chance!) but anyway, the theme was seasons and we got 'Spring'. She has to do my hair, makeup, nails, design my outfit and chose music and i was just wondering if any of you have any ideas of costumes or anything then please let me know as it would be a BIG help.

Anyways, that's my chit chat over and an update of what i've been up to. Have any of you been up to anything exiting?

p.s; its almost halloween, whats everyone dressing up as?! AND ONLY 2 MONTHS UNTIL CHRISTMAS!!!!

DIY; decorated light switch

Just a short post from me today about my newly decorated light switch. Im not joking, i absolutely love this idea and smile at my light switch every time i look at it.
It was a spur of the moment thing and it jazzed up my room in minutes haha!

It is as simple as that! not sure how long it will last but thats the beauty of it because, its not permanent so you can change it whenever you want.
Hope you enjoyed this post and let me know what you think of this idea. Have you tried something out using a different pattern?

Demi's designs..

I have had the most manic past few months and i just havent felt up to/found time to post on my little share of the internet, that may make me seem selfish but i promise theres a valid reason!

Aaaaaanyway, I tend to paint my nails at least once a week using a range of colours from my over 80 nail art pen collection, i love painting my nails and looking for new ideas, designs and pretty patterns for my nails as its such an easy way to add a statement to your outfit.

I'll be posting pictures of any nails i paint that i think you guys would enjoy, and i hope you do!
I even have a facebook page and i would grreaaatly appreciate it if you could take a stroll here and give it a like to help me 'build an audience'!

(click to make it bigger) These are a golden tribal aztec print i tried out on my mums nails, what do you think?

P.s; if you have any ideas or requests please PLEASE let me know as it gives me an excuse to get all creative! Also if recommended i could give tutorials a go on any nails you have liked.

winter knits..

Seeing as though the colder, wetter months have started to make an appearance lately, it's time to start getting into all things warm and snuggly. I'm ill at the moment because i haven't been wrapping up enough because summery stuff looks better than winter clothes, but thats not quite true! i am currently looooving the knitted jumper range spread across a variety of shops; the colours, patterns, prints and material is just perfect for the cold. So today i thought it would be nice to share a few of my fave jumpers this autumn with you...

h&m knitted jumpers
newlook knitted jumpers

topshop knitted jumpers

Hope you like my selection of knitted jumpers.
Oh and before i forget, if you havent already seen.. i made a new page on my blog named 'Nail Art' where i will post pictures of any nail art i do, click here to visit the page, also if anyone wants me to attempt tutorials just comment or email me!

Back to school | Whats in my school bag?

I haven't posted in, what it feel like, such a loooong time! Anyway, i hope any of you that have started back at school are enjoying it and those of you doing anything else i hope you have had a good week!

I'm going to show you whats in my 'back to sixth form' school bag as it felt relevant for me to do so seeing as i've not long been back. I have started studying Sport, Dance and Psychology and although i've had tons of homework already, im loving it - wonder how long that will last eyy.

Okay so first things first.. my bag!
I got this in the holidays whilst out shopping with my mum, i was umming and aah'ing about buying this for a good half an hour whilst looking at things in primark. We got to the till and i put it down but my mum sneakily picked it back up and for just a fiver (yes, a fiver!) im so glad she did. It has an outside pocket, and inside zip and two little compartments inside for my phone etc. I love the contrasting lining on the inside as its a bright neon yellow. Also its really roomy (being a word?) so i can fit two folders at a time with my essentials and my dance kit!
the contents of my bag
- I have 3 folders, purple one for psychology, blue one for silly/pointless reasons but having to carry it around all the time anyway, and my pretty Tinkerbell folder from the Disney shop for dance.

- I have a blue pretty patterned journey which i use to jot down any notes and homework as we didnt get given planners this year:-(

- My charity shop book for only 50p! It's taking me a really long time to get into this but i picked up because the blurb made me chuckle so loudly right in the middle of the shop! (section from the blurb; 'Bella was sure she could handle some- preferably before her as yet unopened packet of condoms reached their expiry date. She must be practically a virgin again by now, all sealed over like pierced ears if you don't wear earrings for too long.' Bit rude/cheeky if i do say so myself!

- My pencil case was a gift for christmas, i've used it through my GCSE exams and throughout year 11, its got everything i could ever need in it even if i do seem to only need a pen.

- Make-up bag bought from primark for cheap a few years back, its so pretty and lovely with its floral print and sequins

- Deodorant; because i do both dance and sport deodorant is an absolute MUST HAVE in my bag. And if your friend smells a bit, its always handy to have some spare in your bag to have them the embarrassment of b.o!

- My purse is essential as it keep my money and key safe and as i have lots of free lessons, i plan to take numerous detours to the shop to pig out. p.s i kinda ruined my purse by trying to jazz it up with jems, fyi major fail, so if anyone knows of anywhere i could find really sweet/pretty purses it would be much appreciated if you could let me know :-)

- Glasses, pretty sure i dont need to go into detail about what they are for but for those who may not know, they are to help me see better whilst reading and on the computer haha

- Several hairbands as spares in case i forget to have one on my wrist ready for dance or sport

- Last but not least, i finally got my door key pass beepy card thing, im not actually sure what my school wanna call these but to sum them up they open doors around the school and toilets etc which is so much help when your busting for a wee in a free lesson and have to treck round the whole school to key the key for the toilet then go to the toilet blahblahblah you get the drift.

Sorry for the huge essay of a post, just thought i'd share with you what i have to lug around everyday for school.

If you have started sixth form like me, are you enjoying it? what subjects are you studying?
Enjoy the rest of your week

TAG: most worn summer things!

Okay so im gonna go ahead and do a post on my very first tag 'most worn summer things'. It's been fun thinking back to how much i have actually used/worn certain things summer so i hope you enjoy this post!

What is your most worn nail polish?
 - This is one of my many nail art pens. It's a silver glitter but has greens, oranges, blues and purples in it making it look like pixie dust! I can paint my nails a silver and put this over the top to make it look like a huge disco ball or use it in a nail pattern to have just a hint of glitter for when the sun catches it.

What is your most worn scent?
- My most worn scent has to be my Christina Aguilera Royal Desire perfume which i got as a present for Christmas, i love it so much and it smells deeeeelish. I really love the little heart shaped charm with the initials CA on it giving it a cute touch. Im so gutted that it is almost empty though, but it will be on my christmas list again this year!

What is your most worn hair product?
- This summer i've started back combing my hair quite a bit to give it some oomph and volumosity, so to keep it in place i've sprayed it with Professional Touch Salon Hairspray-High Gloss Super Hold. I bought this in Savers for £1 at the beginning of the year and started using it in June, I've loved it so much, it does its job and doesnt leave your hair sticky or crispy but soft and strong.

What is your most worn bag?
- A black bag with brown stitching. My mum used to use this until the zip broke and i asked for it. Its real leather so i can see it lasting a long time. Im not that bothered about the zip because it sits so you cant see into it anyway. Its versatile and goes with almost everything i wear, its light and really comfy to wear on your shoulder or arm

What are your most worn shoes?
- I wore my Primark blue and white striped espadrilles mainly this summer. They were such a bargain at £3 but fell a part quite quickly, probably because of how much i wore them. Their comfy and quick to just slip on and made me feel really summery! Also, because England doesnt really know what summer is, other that the bright spells here and there, i've been wearing these 'creeper style' plimsolls from a charity shop. I'd looked for creepers for months on end, until i found some in a shop at £16.99, i decided not to buy them and went to a charity shop and found them for just £2.50!!

What is your most worn accessory?
- I wear my sunglasses all the time even when its not even very sunny. I just love seeing things in a sepia sort of colour because it makes me believe its actually sunny outside haha. I got these in Camden for £5 after seeing people in Made in Chelsea and other celebs rocking similar ones out. Also i've been wearing this bow under my bun for a sweet girly effect in my hair, its just so pretty.

What is your most worn clothing item?
- I loooove this blouse, its so pretty and can be worn to school, casually or to a party with some denim shorts or disco pants. It can look really smart with the pointed collar and shoulder pads so its great for sixth form this winter too! (Also from a charity shop-£3. Im balmy about charity shops!)

What is your most worn foundation?
- I dont tend to wear foundation as i havent found one that doesnt dry out my skin or make it all patchy. Not at all meaning to brag, but my skin doesnt really need any coverage or brightening but ive had this foundation for some time, Rimmel London Stay Matte Foundation in 103 True Ivory, and if im going out i'll wear it to long out the process of dressing up and getting ready

What is your most worn blush/bronzer?
- Again i dont normally wear much on my skin but i'll wear it mixed with my powder to a party for a tinted glow. I use this bella pierre mineral blush in MB001 Desert Rose, which my brother got me. I cant use it without mixing it with something lighter as it makes me look orange/red which in my opinion is not a good look!

What is your most worn lip product?
- I really have loved this Primark Lip Stain Pen, review here , it stays on and is a really pretty colour and i am just so happy with it

What is your most worn mascara?
I've had Collection 2000 Extreme mascara for a few years now, i love it sooo much. I love the shape of the brush and its not really wet or to thick making your eyelashes clumpy and heavy. Its just perfectly in the middle meaning it coats the lashes in enough mascara to make them strong but moisturised meaning if you want to curl them they stay up for a good few hours. This product is running out and i will definitely get it again because i can rely on it to make my eyelashes perfect every time and for around £3 i cant complain!

Hope you had a good week now that the holidays have finished, and i am tagging you all to do this tag. I loo forward to reading your most worn summer things and if you have any questions feel free to message me or comment below.

50 shades of Autumn

When we think of Summer being over, most of us will automatically think of the dull and gloomy weather, cold and rain and the nights getting darker earlier.

But Autumn is such a good season for you to style up your winter clothes, because its between the winter months and summer, any colour goes! I'll be getting into my snuggly jumpers and thick leggings early this year as England is aaalways cold.

Here's my Autumn wish list

Creepers- Matalan £12, Bowler hat-Ebay under £6, Burgundy thick jumper- H&M £12.99, Essie Mint Apple Candy nail varnish, Turquoise ring- H&M £3.99, Leopard Print Chelsea boots- Matalan £10 on offer now
Creepers have crept their way throughout each season of 2012 and are still such a big statement of most peoples wardrobes and at £12 as to your usual £30+ its a real steal.

I think the bowler hat is such a cute touch to nearly all outfits from thick tights with a dress too denim shorts and a jumper.

Thick cable knit jumpers are a must have in the cold days of winter which is why i have chosen a dark Burgundy coloured jumper even though for some reason it makes me get oober excited for Christmas 4 months early!

The Essie Mint Candy Apple is a really pretty colour which everyone seems to be loving right now, Its an easy option to brighten up a dark outfit and the name makes me want to eat it..

This turquoise Tribal ring is a gorgeous piece that i have wanted something similar too for ages, i never really saw the fuss of rings and thought them to be annoying but they are such a good way to jazz up any outfit if you arent wearing any other jewellery.

Chelsea boots were in at the beginning of the year but not so many picked people up on them, but i've suddenly decided that they would be great to add 'casualness' to a sixth form outfit and are such a simple style coming in so many different colours and patterns!

So that's what i'll be keeping my eye out for in the next few months whilst CHRISTMASS!!! draws nearer!

Hope everyones having a good day! I've had the toughest day of my life today due to my dog being put to sleep (sleep tight tasha, lots of loveee) but am keeping my chin up as shes no longer in pain!

What will your Summer to Autumn wardrobe consist of? Any specific colour range?

chit chat & a catch up

I know my last post was me finally getting into the youtube lingo and i said that i would upload my video soon, yes its been almost a week and i guess you are wondering.. 'well where is it then?'
My dad lost our lead to connect the camera to my laptop so he ordered a new one and it only came today, we tried plugging it in and just my luck, it wont work :( Im gutted i haven't been able to do it and i definitely didn't mean to lie to you! My dads gonna try and figure it out but in the mean time i'll stick to a jolly old blog :)

Im not going to base this blog post on a certain make up brand or clothing piece i wish for, im choosing to keep it short and share my happiness with you as i got my GCSE exam results on Thursday and i didn't actually do to bad! i got 6 B's, 5 C's and 1 D. Did any of you get any results this week that made you extremely proud?

One of my friends had a 'results party' for my year, and it was fancy dress. So me and my bestfriend decided to go as...... 118! We made our t-shirts, Headbands and moustaches and just used what we had instead of forking out money for a whole costume. Almost everyone dressed up and it was such a hoot.
me and my friend all ready to jog to the party ;)
118 themed nails

Some of the costumes!

I hope you all have a really good weekend!  Do/did you have any party's to go to or have you gone to a festival? (if yes im sooo jelly jealous!)

Sudocrem: spot treatment

Do you ever get just one really annoying stubborn spot on your face? Or suffer from multiple spots that you just want rid of? Sudocrem is an antiseptic healing cream which treats; Napkin rash, Eczema, Bed sores, Sunburn, minor burns, surface wounds, Acne and Chilblains. A few days ago my friend sent me a funny picture of himself with sudocrem all over his forehead, he said it was for his spots. A few pimple type spots have landed on my face over the past two days and i decided to give sudocrem a try.

On Friday night i washed my face with normal soap and rinsed with hot water then splashed my face with cold water. I used a towel to dry my face and applied a thin layer on my forehead where my spots were, I left it on over night and in the morning my spots were less raised and the redness had gone down. I tried it again yesterday night but this time all over my face, when i got into bed with the cream on my face it started to feel warm and tingly but the label says that its normal for localised irritation to occur. i woke up this morning and my face feels smooth like a babies bottom. If you have spots you want to treat and you feel like you have tried everything else, i would recommend Sudocrem just to give it a go and you might just be surprised of the outcome. You can get Sudocrem over the counter in pharmacists and other shops like Boots and Superdrug. I have the 60g pot which has lasted me for at least a year with about half the pot left, Boots have the 125g on offer for £1.75 at the moment!

Let me know if you have tried it and the results you had!

spikes and studs galore

This summer studs and spikes have wormed their way in to fashion and have had a huuuge impact on everyones statements. It seems like everyone have come to terms with the fact that not only heavy metal lovers can pull it off. Some people completely cover themselves in s&s whereas others add a hint here and there to keep it subtle but still rock it.

SHOES-

These sculpted heels have studs in their curve. Because they are already such a big statement, the studs just make them even more loveable and because they look so good people are less worried about how they would actually walk in them (they dont look too comfy)

CLOTHES-

Studded denim shorts with a quirky band top or a cute blouse are very on trend at the minute, a lot of people have taken it upon themselves to DIT (do it themselves) and stud the heck out of their clothes like me instead of spending a whole whad of money on them. The Leather jacket looks gorg with denim shorts or black milk galaxy leggings and look good with a minimal amount of studs and spikes but also look good when heaving with the things.

JEWELLERY-

Spikes on ear cuffs, choker necklaces, bracelets and rings are a must have this Summer, they look cute but also give your outfit a rockyfied edge. If you aren't daring enough to go the whole hog with the studs and spikes on your jacket or shorts, then the jewellery is for you! It looks great without looking 'over done'.

BEAUTY-

It has now come to my attention that you can buy small stud look-a-like stickers to let your nails get in with the trend. They look so cute and can also be done with nail art so you can do it yourself.

Do you like the studs and spikes trend? Do you own something with them on?

how i organise my earrings

My earrings used to be all jumbled around in a big jewellery box and I was never able to find a matching pair or the pair I wanted, so I thought it was time to hunt down an earring organiser so they all had their own place and I can find them when I need too. I was planning to go to a car boot sale this upcoming Saturday but my mum came home yesterday with another bargain just for me!

She found this beautiful jewellery stand in the shape of a body with hooks for rings, necklaces, bracelets etc and a wire netted bottom (under-skirt) for your earrings. This means there is a space for everything all on one stand and the best part was.. it was only £5!! It looks brand new even though it was from a charity shop and I'm absolutely in love with it! I have already sorted all of my earring onto it and it looks so pretty.

The jewellery stand itself is a gold/bronze/brown and consists of swirling hooks and amazing twisted detail. The body is a dusty yellow/skin colour with a white corset which has baby pink pinstripes and green leaves on it. It has puffed dress features on either side with pink flowery lace and beautiful little bows. The are also 3 dangley bits on the front with different beads which I think is absolutely adorable. The other thing that fascinates me about this stand is the beaded pendant type thing underneath the skirt which hangs down like a bird in it's bird cage.

sorry for the pants picture!

I am so happy with my jewellery stand and amazed that it was in the charity shop for just £5 considering the amount of detail that is on it! I think these types of stands are in most jewellery shops, Claire's or maybe you can also find them in a charity shop or at a car boot sale for cheap cheap cheap!

How do you keep your jewellery organised and stored? Comment below, I'd love to see it!
