Lush sale haul!

Over the past 4 or 5 months my love for Lush has literally taken over my bank account. My stash of products is getting crazy and when they had a sale I just couldn't help myself. I absolutely love the overwhelming scent that hits you face on as soon as you walk through the door of the shop. Some bits aren't from the sale and are just what i picked up before christmas (minus a few i have used already).
Snow Fairy SPARKLE BAR £2.78
This is super silky and creamy. Its described to have a fondant like centre filled with glitter. It smells just like the Snow Fairy shower gel and was £2.78 in the sale. It's from their winter/christmas range so won't be in stock until late 2014, leaving me reluctant to squish it up !
Cinders bath bomb £1.23
I cannot stand cinnamon whatsoever but the idea of popping candy in a bath bomb really excited me. I will probably have run a bath for my mum to listen to it then let her enjoy as she loves the smell. The popping candy is supposed to remind you of being cosy next to a fire and is also only a christmas product!

Creamy Candy Bubble bar £2.50
I'm lead to believe this product is in stock all year round which makes me super happy. It smells like candy floss, amazing for those who love sweet things. Its soft and crumbles under running water into a layer of soft, silky, moisturising  water. I'm pretty sure the flower is one of those icing cake decorations too!

Bombardino £1.25
This little fella was inspired by a drink made in the Alps of Italy which consists of eggnog, brandy and whipped cream. However, Lush's version is a mini meringue pie with skin softening cocoa butter! (Another christmas special)
Shoot for the Stars BALLISTIC £1.63
I got two of these bath ballistics in the sale which claim to create lustres of swirling colours in your bath. With a honey-toffee scent like the 'Honey I washed the kids' soap it's only available around christmas time! I'm so excited to use this!
The Comforter Bubble Bar £4.50

I genuinely don't remember paying £4.50 for this product however, if I did, I must have felt the size of it and thought it was worth it. It is huge! It reminds me of the smell of ribena or vimto sweets. It creates large amounts of bubbles when crumbled under running water and rumour has it that it can be spared over multiple bath times!
Golden wonder Bath bomb £1.75
Okay now these bath bombs are HUGE. I got 3 in the sale and used one already and has lasted at least 3 bath times! Kind of defeats the object as the colour is throughout the core of the product and is filled with tiny little stars, but it works just as well. From the description on the website "This ballistic contains edible gold lustre and soluble paper stars – so there’ll be no sparkly bits left to clean out of your bath afterwards.", I'm not sure how i feel about this but its pretty cool anyway!

The only problem with buying lots of things from Lush sales is the expiry date. The products are fresh and the sooner they get used the more benefits you will receive from them. However, I love baths and nobody got hurt from having too many baths, right?!

January sales haul!

Happy New Year! I've got a quick post on some of the things I picked up in the sales!
River Island Chunky cut out ankle boot £35 reduced from £45

I originally tried these on in Oxford Street River Island and completely fell in love. I wasn't to keen on spending £45 with them being such a statement boot as I didn't know how often I'd get to wear them. When I saw these in my size on sale in my local River Island I obviously grabbed them!

Topshop petite daisy dress £15 from £34
I'm not usually one for shopping in Topshop. Although I love to browse, I just can't justify spending X amount of money on something I'll only wear once. I found this dress in the petite section and loved the contrast of the sweetheart neckline and girly flower print with the grunge lace on the bustier section. I picked it up in a 14 (smallest size they had left as I'm usually a 10) but this is a great fit. It's pretty short but a pair of tights will do the trick.
New Look nail wraps £1.50
I went into New Look, again not somewhere I tend to shop often, and found these nail wraps whilst waiting in the never ending queue. I'm sure I saw them in the halloween line on the website and I think that the detail will look amazing when transferred onto the nails.

New Look cream bobble knit jumper £7
I think this was originally around £15, I didn't give it much thought when picking it up but since I have worn it several times on several occasions. Its quite a tight fit but I really like the whole idea of a cropped jumper and tight sleeves.

New Look faux wool lined biker jacket £15 from £35

MAJOR BARGAIN ALERT! I am so obsessed with my new jacket that cost me only £15! I have wanted a leather jacket with a wool lining for years but never found one that suited me. When I found this in the sale I was so excited as its not your typical leather jacket. I'm not exactly sure what material it is (definitely not leather) but I love the edgy look of it and it's really warm!

What did you guys pick up in the January/Christmas sales? Have you made a haul post ?

Sultry lashes and Berry bold lips! | Christmas Make-up look

Seeing as though it's almost Christmas, I thought it was appropriate to do a little makeup look for you all ready for the festive parties! I went for lashes and lips for this look. If i was to wear this look for Christmas i would definitely pair it with a berry red, glitzy dress!

I primed my face to create a smooth base before applying my Dream Satin liquid foundation. The primer ensures longer lasting power for my makeup which is essential for all party animals. I blended my foundation with my Real Techniques Stippling brush as i feel it gives the best, flawless looking finish to my skin!
Using a MUA eyeshadow powder, i filled in my eyebrows to give definition and structure to my face

I also used the MUA eyeshadow palette in Undress Me Too and used the shades Lavish (a matte light brown), along with Fiery and Tranquil (two shimmer based shadows) to give a bit of sparkle
To contour and bronze my face I used my Bourjois chocolate bronzer, tracing the outline of my cheekbones and taking it up to my temples to give a chiseled look.

I added some long sultry lashes, long and plain to match my eyeshadow. This look is all about the bold lips!

On my lips i used a Kate Moss lipstick in 60/09 (depending which way up it goes) followed by Rimmel's vinyl gloss which gave shine and shimmer!
At the moment, I am really into head pieces and Bindi's so i just added a small crystal Bindi to finish off the look.

My Christmas nail colour!

I was buying some Barry M nail varnishes as Christmas presents for a friend and the 3 for 2 offer was on and it was silly not to get one free.. So I may have purchased two nail varnishes for myself!

As it's winter and Christmas is literally just around the corner, I decided to pick out this beautiful 'Raspberry' colour, a deep pink/red polish from the normal polish collection.

I'm not the biggest fan of the Barry M nail varnish quality, however, out of all brands, I feel like Barry M have the biggest and best (if i must) colour and shade range.

It's my fave polish for Christmas at the minute and I really do think it captures the festiveness as a colour!

So here it is Merry Christmas

Hello there, long time no see or speak!

I just wanted to write a really short snappy post to emphasise how sorry i am that its been around 3 weeks or so since i last posted, i know everyone gives these excuses but i have actually been SO busy with christmas shopping, school and starting a new job and all! I started working in Tesco's on Monday and the christmas buzz has completely drained me, yesterday i worked 4pm til 10pm and then started again at 7 this morning until 4 and it was super busy the whole time i was working!

I know christmas is just around the corner and i just wanna say a HUGE Merry Christmas and i hope you all have fantastic days and spend it with the ones you love and care about most as it is a time for family's and friends to get together and share the love and appreciation of one an other. I was really excited about christmas from the 1st of September and since Ive started work that excitement truly has died out, but i have christmas eve off and I'm hoping that will make me happy again!

Thank you to each and everyone one of my followers that have joined demiDOODLES since earlier this year, i cant believe 70 of you have taken the time to read or follow my blog, it really does make me so happy and i am so grateful, which is why I'm hoping 2013 will be full of giveaways and lots more beauty and fashion posts and also getting to know you guys and a lot more people in the future. My blog is my favourite thing and i love it so much, so having people to share it with is just lovely!

Nailing it this christmas!

Okay so on a happier note from my previous post about shyness and confidence (read here) i decided to show you some of the nail art i have been doing on false nails lately..

A snowflake, a snowman, christmas lights, a penguin, holly and a christmas tree! (i added a snowing effect to this picture to make it more christmassy because in case you don't know.. its 34 days and counting!!)

Here are my own nails, red and multi-coloured glitter with a super cute reindeer on the ring finger!

recently, i have also been doing friends nails to earn a little extra christmas money and I've also been learning/experimenting with acrylics/gel nails. I first tried it out on my friend, then my own and then another friend, it takes me aaaages to do them because of the amount of time they take to dry but the finished results were lush with the bright red nails and gemmed ring finger!

If you would like any tutorials or nail polish colour names etc just leave a comment, tweet me or whatever and I'll happily inform you

Have you been trying out any christmas nails, or any other designs for that matter? i would love to see some!!

GOLD! Always believe in your soul..

Yesterday i took another little trip into town (seems to be becoming a very regular occurrence lately!) and the idea was to get a few more christmas bits, I'm doing chrimbo shopping in sections and picking up little bits here and there this year, and i actually managed to pick my mum up some of the things she wanted but once again i ended up buying myself a few nick nacks and i decided to show you something that I'm really happy with..

It's very similar to my technic 'mermaid' and 'carnival' nail varnish but its from poundland!? There were blue, green and purple versions of this polish but the gold stood out for me and I'm so glad i bought it, i must admit i spent about 20 minutes in poundland uming and ahing, debating whether to buy it and as soon as i got home i painted it on top of my primark bright pink polish and its so lush. It doesn't have different types of gold in it but its got small and big rounded glitter flecks in it and its a really good rep for some high priced brand versions of glitter polishes! £1 BARGAIN!!

Another thing i picked up from poundland was this little wheel of butterfly and dragonfly nail decorations of all different colours, they are so pretty and i cant wait to use them..

They even come with a mini nail file and wooden stick for easier application! I say get yourself to poundland and see what you can find, i even noticed they sell Revlon polishes in there too!

my christmas wishlist..

I cant believe christmas is just around the corner, its only about 47 days or something and if you tell me that doesn't excite you I'm sorry but you must be mad!

I get excited every year around September/October time even though it gets pretty boring on the actual day (not being ungrateful, just don't have family that come round!) but i love the build up, the cold snuggly weather and turning the christmas music on and getting the tree up and decorated!

Anywaay, i made a little wishlist of a some things i would quite like for christmas..

George (Asda) light pink hooded dressing gown £14; i've already seen this in my mums wardrobe (hehe oops) but i get a new dressing gown every year as i grow out of them so quickly, and this one has a hood!

UV nail lamp; this is to help with my nail art and acrylic nails as they take aaaages to dry on their own!

Make-up Brushes; i don't mind what make these are but i could do with some good quality make up brushes this year

Kate Moss-Lilabelle perfume; I got this for christmas last year and it has just run out but i absolutely LOVE it, it smells so pretty and lush, even if i don't get this for christmas i will definitely re-purchase it in the new year

Jessie J Nice to Meet you; Jessie J is one of my all time favourite singer performers i just think she is so talented and down to earth, my best friend told me she would get me this book for christmas and i cant wait to read it !!

Black Suede Heel-less heels (Sculpted heels); I was going to get some for prom but they were over £30 and with my dress being £300 it was a major no no and i didn't think i'd last in them as they look fairly uncomfortable.. oh how i was wrong. I went into town with my mum at the weekend and we both tried some similar on and they were surprisingly comfy as heels go, no different to any other shoes and less pressure on the heels of your feet

This is my christmas list, what are you hoping for? Also, the book i won by Jenny Colgan arrived 2 days ago and i've started reading it already, thank you Helen from 'fragile bird'. Enjoy your week

50 shades of Autumn

When we think of Summer being over, most of us will automatically think of the dull and gloomy weather, cold and rain and the nights getting darker earlier.

But Autumn is such a good season for you to style up your winter clothes, because its between the winter months and summer, any colour goes! I'll be getting into my snuggly jumpers and thick leggings early this year as England is aaalways cold.

Here's my Autumn wish list

Creepers- Matalan £12, Bowler hat-Ebay under £6, Burgundy thick jumper- H&M £12.99, Essie Mint Apple Candy nail varnish, Turquoise ring- H&M £3.99, Leopard Print Chelsea boots- Matalan £10 on offer now
Creepers have crept their way throughout each season of 2012 and are still such a big statement of most peoples wardrobes and at £12 as to your usual £30+ its a real steal.

I think the bowler hat is such a cute touch to nearly all outfits from thick tights with a dress too denim shorts and a jumper.

Thick cable knit jumpers are a must have in the cold days of winter which is why i have chosen a dark Burgundy coloured jumper even though for some reason it makes me get oober excited for Christmas 4 months early!

The Essie Mint Candy Apple is a really pretty colour which everyone seems to be loving right now, Its an easy option to brighten up a dark outfit and the name makes me want to eat it..

This turquoise Tribal ring is a gorgeous piece that i have wanted something similar too for ages, i never really saw the fuss of rings and thought them to be annoying but they are such a good way to jazz up any outfit if you arent wearing any other jewellery.

Chelsea boots were in at the beginning of the year but not so many picked people up on them, but i've suddenly decided that they would be great to add 'casualness' to a sixth form outfit and are such a simple style coming in so many different colours and patterns!

So that's what i'll be keeping my eye out for in the next few months whilst CHRISTMASS!!! draws nearer!

Hope everyones having a good day! I've had the toughest day of my life today due to my dog being put to sleep (sleep tight tasha, lots of loveee) but am keeping my chin up as shes no longer in pain!

What will your Summer to Autumn wardrobe consist of? Any specific colour range?
