Fragrance Direct | Mini Beauty Haul

Hi guys!

The other week my order from Fragrance Direct came through the post and i just wanna show you what i got..

For those of you who don't know, Fragrance Direct is an online website that sell makeup, perfume, bath and body stuff, hair products etc, for a low cost.

I can't remember exactly how i came across them but i have been ordering with them since January and i absolutely love what they have to offer, it's a good place for all you beauty testers who want to try new things but cant justify forking out £10 for a lipstick that you may hate (or am i the only one who feels this way?!)

Since January, my order's ALWAYS consist of Essie nail polishes because at £1.99 a bottle, you can get 3 or 4 for the same price as you'd pay for just 1 bottle in boots etc.

This time round i got the shades 'Fear or Desire' a vibrant neon orange-perfect for the upcoming summer months, and i also got 'Off The Shoulder'- a very girly, pretty pink!

RRP each: £7.99 in boots

I have been wanting to try the Kate Moss Lipsticks from Rimmel and when i saw them on the website i just couldn't say no, so i got 2.

RRP: £5.49
Not very summery shades, but gorgeous colours eh?

I also picked up a cheap mascara, i used to used this and i actually really liked it considering how cheap it was, it lengthens my lashes whilst thickening them at the roots given a nice coat of product.7

Including packaging, i think i spent £14 which is so amazing when it should have come to at least £20!

Have you bought anything from Fragrance Direct? Or tried any of these products?

MUA Lipstick | Review

Happy Monday everyone! If that's even possible..

Did anyone else get any results back last week, GCSE's or A levels? I got my A Level Psychology result back and was 1 mark off of a 'C'.. how gutting!:(

Anyyyyway, i thought I'd start the week off with a small review for you of MUA's Lipstick. In January i picked up one of their lipsticks in Shade 1, which is a deep, dark red.

When i was in the shop, i was drawn to the variety of lipstick shades that they have, and to be a bit different than my usual coral or pink shade i decided to go for a bold and fierce colour.. slight contrast to my comfort zone!
Recently I've been trying out with lots of new clothes and styles and I've been loving the edgy, rock hint in fashion and i thought this lipstick would compliment this style amazingly.

The packaging is great and includes a nifty little pot of extra product making it really compact and useful, and the best part was that it is only £1.

The product itself is amazing, its very highly pigmented and gives colour with one swipe over the lips! It feels really soft and not at all sticky, which is usually extremely common in cheaper brand cosmetics, which is why i love MUA; great quality, great price!

It smells nice too, not like the plasticy (not too good at describing smells as you can see!) smell that some lipsticks have.

The only downside to this lipstick is that because it is such a strong colour, it has to be applied perfectly. If you do not apply it exactly to the line of your lips, the wonky lines show up so obviously. If you go over the lip line and try to rub it off, you'll have a struggle, it stains super quick and gets everywhere including face, hands and clothes!

Although it has its downfalls, all in all its an amazing product! You  could easily get past the issue by using a lip brush instead of applying it straight from the stick.

Here is a picture of me wearing the lipstick, it just strikes your attention and i love it!

(Please don't ask what I'm doing in this picture, i look like a dingbat i know!)

Have you tried any of the MUA lipsticks or other products from this brand?

The Primark lipstain pen

Hi guys!
Okay, so today I went into town with my mum to find my best friend a birthday present and got some really nice bits for her sweet 16 but whilst being baffled about what to get her, I came across these new Lip stain pens in Primark..

I've tried the MaxFactor version and loved it but thought it to be a little pricey considering how long it lasts. So I thought I would give these a try for £1.50 each (I thought even this was a little over priced for Primark considering their lipsticks are 25p at the moment in my nearest store). I have wanted a bright pink lipstick for such a long time now but have never found the colour to match my skin tone etc, so I decided to try the lip stain to see if it would be right and if its not it's not to big of a loss. I also got the product in a bright red as I have been soooo jealous of all the girls that can pull such a bold colour off and still look amazing.

So I've spent my three pounds on my two pens and have been waiting all day to get home and finally try them out and after having to get drenched by the awful rain and walk in squelching espadrilles here I am in the comfort of my own home able to get my lips all over my new items!
I tried the pink pen out first and tried it on my arm first and the colour looked amazing, but when I went to coat my lips in the stuff it seemed to dry out like a felt tip does when you have left the lid off for a couple of hours:(. I tried squeezing the nib bit and shaking the pen to try and get it to come out and eventually it did, but no where near as bright as it did on my hand...
So I went to rub it off so I could try the red pen out, only problem being is that they really took the word 'stain' literally, and I couldn't get it to come off even after intense lip licking and rubbing seriously hard with a tissue. I decided to just put the red pen over the top of the pink because if it was anything like the other one it probably wouldn't show up anyway..but I was very wrong! The red pen works wonders and is not at all dried out and is such a bold statement! I would recommend everyone to try it out if looking for a bright red lipstick and at £1.50 you can't go wrong! I'm hoping the pink lip stain was just a one off and was the only one dried up or that it comes across bright on other people.
I finished my lips off with just a plain lipgloss top coat to make them look plump and glossy and I am so happy I have a red lip product that works and is a nice shade of red! I will definitely be using the red lip stain pen throughout the summer months left and all throughout the christmas period! I think I will use this up pretty quickly because I'm in love with it and I will definitely re-purchase this over and over again until the store no longer stock it haha!
