MUA Lipstick | Review

Happy Monday everyone! If that's even possible..

Did anyone else get any results back last week, GCSE's or A levels? I got my A Level Psychology result back and was 1 mark off of a 'C'.. how gutting!:(

Anyyyyway, i thought I'd start the week off with a small review for you of MUA's Lipstick. In January i picked up one of their lipsticks in Shade 1, which is a deep, dark red.

When i was in the shop, i was drawn to the variety of lipstick shades that they have, and to be a bit different than my usual coral or pink shade i decided to go for a bold and fierce colour.. slight contrast to my comfort zone!
Recently I've been trying out with lots of new clothes and styles and I've been loving the edgy, rock hint in fashion and i thought this lipstick would compliment this style amazingly.

The packaging is great and includes a nifty little pot of extra product making it really compact and useful, and the best part was that it is only £1.

The product itself is amazing, its very highly pigmented and gives colour with one swipe over the lips! It feels really soft and not at all sticky, which is usually extremely common in cheaper brand cosmetics, which is why i love MUA; great quality, great price!

It smells nice too, not like the plasticy (not too good at describing smells as you can see!) smell that some lipsticks have.

The only downside to this lipstick is that because it is such a strong colour, it has to be applied perfectly. If you do not apply it exactly to the line of your lips, the wonky lines show up so obviously. If you go over the lip line and try to rub it off, you'll have a struggle, it stains super quick and gets everywhere including face, hands and clothes!

Although it has its downfalls, all in all its an amazing product! You  could easily get past the issue by using a lip brush instead of applying it straight from the stick.

Here is a picture of me wearing the lipstick, it just strikes your attention and i love it!

(Please don't ask what I'm doing in this picture, i look like a dingbat i know!)

Have you tried any of the MUA lipsticks or other products from this brand?

  1. That looks really good:) I've never tried MUA, the cheap price tag and some things I've heard have put me off buying from them to be honest :S and I am rubbish at applying lipstick so would want one that could smudge off! X

  3. Hi just found your blog! I've tired one MUA lipstick in a deep purple colour, and I really like it. I agree that you have to apply it perfectly without smudging etc else it seems more noticeable than usual! Might just be the formula or something but the smudges can be hard to get rid of haha. Overall definitely a great product for the cheap price :) Great post!! Xx

If you have a minute, come and take a look at my blog? If you like it, maybe we could follow each other? Lucy x
